SONGLINES COLLECTION
The labyrinth of invisible pathways which meander all over Australia and are known to Europeans as "Dreaming-tracks" or "Songlines"; to the Aboriginals as the "Footprints of the Ancestors" or the "Way of the Lore”
Songlines, Bruce Chatwin, 1987
The Songlines Collection moves from being hot on the trail of an ancient route crossing the Australian desert. In the set of beliefs of the animist tradition of the Australian Aborigines, Songline, also called Path of Dreams, is a path across the earth, or the sky, which marks the route followed by an ancestral creature in its original journey during the Time of Dream. The tales of The Path of Dream are passed down orally by the aborigines in the form of songs in which the musical structure corresponds like a map, to the morphology of the territory.
This is the starting point of bracelets, earrings and rings that encapsulate depressions, reliefs and dunes as in arid landscapes and curved valleys south of the Equator which are contrasted by lines and waves with an essential mood.
